My early background was in dance, having trained in classical ballet from the age of five to 20. After having a family I began my career in the fitness industry in earnest – teaching Step Aerobics and Body Balance. I discovered Pilates in 2002 – a whole body fitness discipline based on controlled, careful movements. Having taught Pilates for a number of years I have seen its benefits first hand — from its rehabilitating effects on individuals with sports injuries to improving the general well-being of people of all ages.
I completed my Level 3 Pilates in 2008 and have significant experience in dealing with people of all ages and levels of ability, either on a one-to-one basis or in exercise classes. Being able to exercise in a relaxed, welcoming environment is very important to me and I pride myself on the friendly, warm atmosphere of all my classes.
Whatever you hope to gain from Pilates – be it weightloss, recovery from an injury or if you simply want to have fun – get in contact and arrange a one-to-one lesson or to find a class near you.
You can find me on the official Register of Exercise Professionals. REP number R0054492.
